What we believe

As is true of most churches today, Siesta Key Chapel is a diverse congregation. Our members come from all walks of life, and are primarily what we Floridians call “transplants” – folks who have moved to Florida from other areas.

The typical Siesta Key Chapel member was NOT raised Presbyterian and spent some time looking for a church in the area before deciding to join the Chapel. Some were raised without any church connection. Still others were raised in other Christian traditions such as Roman Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran and so on. As you might imagine, this adds an interesting flavor to our Bible study and discussions!

What holds us together in our beliefs? The answers to the first two questions required for membership in any Presbyterian church: “Who is your Lord and Savior?” the answer being “Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior”; and, “Do you trust in him?” with the response “I do”.
